About us

London Blockbusters Volleyball Club was founded in 2018. but our Whitechapel Mixed Social Volleyball group has been running since 2003.

London Blockbusters club name came out of our Cambridge, Bristol, Amsterdam and London tournaments teams’ – it was a combination of having One-Speed players who do not tip over the net but keep hitting hard regardless of the opponents, going through the block (Busting Blocks) and the fact we usually have the loudest teams on these tournaments, who play hard and party hard so we were always well accepted by the hosts and other teams.

We currently have two men’s teams competeting in London League Premier Division and two ladies teams competing in London League divisions 1 and 2.

We had huge success last season (23/24) where all of our teams won their division titles!

We are a very friendly bunch of people, we have training sessions on Saturday’s at LSBU Sports Active (Waterloo/Elephant and Castle) and Somer Town Community Center (Camden) as well as Sunday sessions at In2Sports (Canary Wharf) , we also run Advance Level social sessions at various venues around London (Ladies, Mens and Mixed).

We will hopefully organize grass and beach volleyball sessions this summer so if you are interested in joining us please check our Facebook page
